50회 그래미는 Amy Winehouse의 해. 주요 4개 부문 중 3개를 싹슬이했다. 트래디셔널에 기반한 젊은 뮤지션을 선호한다는 것을 고려한다면 충분히 납득할만 함. 공연장의 열기를 시상식 보다 좋아하는 완소녀 술집에이미는 이날도 런던에서 라이브 중이었다.
하지만, 4개 부문 중에서 최고라고도 할 수 있는 Album of the Year은 재즈 앨범이 가져가는 이변이. 충분히 훌륭한 앨범이지만 현역에서 제일 바쁜 허병국 오라버니의 공로상 성격이 짙다는 것은 부정하기 힘들 듯.
오늘 시상식에는 정말 거구가 된 아레사 프랭클린과 다소 아니 심각히 부담스러워진 티나 터너가 등장하기도 했다.
